Monthly Round Ups

Monthly Round Up | June 2019

Hi! I’m back with my monthly round up of June, which has been a busy month with a gorgeous, gorgeous wedding day at the Bodleian Library, Oxford and Blenheim Palace. Read on to find out more…

BUSINESS

The beginning of the month saw the beautiful wedding of J&J, which we’ve been planning together for over a year. It was everything I could have hoped for, and more. Such a gorgeous couple who have nothing but pure love and respect for each other – which was so incredible to watch on their wedding day. We started the day at the simply stunning Bodleian Library in Oxford, for their Blessing (conducted by one of their brilliant friends), followed by a wonderful evening at Blenheim Palace. The fabulous Imogen Xiana was there to document their day, so more images to share with you shortly, but in the meantime, here are a few sneak peeks:

I have been busy with upcoming wedding plans for later this Summer with my couples, and starting to focus on 2020 too with a re-design of my website. It was time to move on from my previous website, as it no longer connected with me and my business in the way I felt it should. The new website is now live, so do take a look around and I would love to hear your thoughts!

FAMILY & HOME

The beginning of June was a super busy few weeks, with my friends Hen Party in London, which I’ve been organising for the last couple of months. We had a fab weekend with the highlights being a Duck & Waffle brunch, a hair-raising speedboat trip along the Thames, and dinner/dancing at Bunga Bunga!

The following week, my husband and I jetted off to Amsterdam for a couple of days (child-free!). Chris booked me tickets to see Elton John for my birthday last year, so we turned it into a mini break to explore the City and enjoy a few days together. We stayed at the Kimpton De Witt Hotel, which was in the ideal location; close to Central Station, but a stones throw from the canals. It was really lovely, and Amsterdam is just beautiful with its endless Canal walks, peonies for days, and gorgeous boutique shops and cafes. My favourites were Polaberry for those insta-famous chocolate coated strawberries, Pluk for beautiful homewares and delicious deli nibbles, and Van Wonderen for the most incredible freshly made Stroopwafels – I’m still dreaming about those! We loved the tasting menu dinner at Moon, which is a revolving panoramic restaurant located on the 19th floor of A’DAM’s Tower, on the other side of the river. Fabulous views across the City, beautiful food, and brilliant service. I loved all of Amsterdam to be honest, and could have easily spent a week wandering with no agenda just discovering all of the beautiful hidden gems. Elton was also just phenomenal, as ever. We had amazing seats right at the front, and we just had the best night dancing to all of our favourite songs! It was definitely an evening I’ll treasure for a very long time.

If you’re planning a trip to Amsterdam soon, send me a message, as I’d love to share more of my tips and recommendations with you!

For Fathers Day, we spent a quiet day together as a family; swimming at our local Lido as it was a lovely sunny day, and then enjoying a family roast back at home. Just perfect!

Leo turned one last week. I honestly feel like I’ve blinked and suddenly he’s turned into a big boy! It really has flown by, and although I’ll miss my little baby, I’m so proud to see him growing into such a wonderful, happy boy who is super ticklish, laughs like nothing else matters, and chats more every day (whilst climbing on everything he can find, and emptying all of my cupboards!). We celebrated with a family BBQ at home, and Leo loved every minute of the attention, and tearing open the wrapping paper for his presents!

And finally, I’ve just returned from a long weekend away in Ibiza with a friend, which has literally been amazing. Spa days, lunches, lazy beach days, yoga classes. We were a little indulgent and stayed at Nobu Ibiza Bay, which was DREAMY. We booked a spa day at Atzaro, which is just the most magical place, and the best way to start our mini break. A trip to Ibiza for me wouldn’t be complete without a lunch at Amante (my favourite place ever), and an evening at Lio, so of course we managed to squeeze those in too! The last few days have just been the most amazing tonic for two hard working mummas!

Hope you all have a fab July. It’s the best month (my birthday!) – see you in a few weeks!

Love,

Jeni x
