Design Inspiration | Menu Displays

Good morning! I’m loving the change in climate over the last week or so… I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. I just hope it stays long enough for all of my summer couples! I have lots of outdoor wedding Ceremonies planned over the next couple of months, so I have my fingers and toes crossed for them all!

This week, I’m focusing on inspiration for displaying a menu to your guests, as there are so many creative ideas to take inspiration from. I will always love having individual menu cards for each place setting…they’re an elegant addition to your place settings. However they may not sit within your budget, and fear not – there are so many creative ways to display your menu without breaking your stationery budget!

Consider which resources you will have available to you; either included within your venue already, or items you may have at home. Something personal from home or borrowed from a family member would add a truly personal touch to your wedding decor, and be relatively easy to adapt for the purpose. It doesn’t necessarily need to match the rest of your stationery and signage perfectly, and guests will love that you’ve been creative! You could carry this theme through to your bar and cocktail menus too…

For previous weddings by Vanilla Rose, we’ve used ornate mirrors, wooden pallets, calligraphy letterpress, chalkboards, antique french shutters, vintage suitcases, and window panes. Here are some of my favourites, along with some additional inspiration:
