Romance & Serenity at Cliveden House

Cliveden House, owned by the National Trust and part of the Iconic Luxury Hotels collection, is a five AA Red Star award-winning hotel, located in the heart of London’s countryside in beautiful Berkshire. The hotels story is one of over 350 years of powerful personalities, iconic parties and scandalous affairs. Built in 1666 by the 2nd Duke of Buckingham, as a gift to his mistress(!) Cliveden House has remained a pinnacle of intrigue and glamour and makes for the perfect romantic setting for the most indulgent wedding celebrations.

Ceremony

 

A Rococo masterpiece with views of the river and across the English countryside, the French Dining Room played host to a gorgeous Ceremony setting for Catia & Chris’ nuptials, with its intricate gilded panelling providing inspiration for some of the smaller design details throughout the day.

Humanist Celebrant Zena Birch conducted the most beautiful, personal Ceremony; filled with tears of joy and laughter for everyone in the room. Zena sprinkled a little magic at a time when micro weddings were just about permitted again, whilst we navigated new beginnings following COVID restrictions.

Dining

 

For dinner, we wanted to create something delicate and romantic, which complemented the Boudoir; an elegant private dining space framed by rich blue drapes and filled with period features. We dressed the large double width table with soft blush linen and centred with opulent soft pink and white blooms with a touch of greenery, surrounded by an abundance of tapered candles. Each place setting piece was carefully selected, with gold edged charger plates, gold flatware, delicate glassware and bespoke handmade stationery.
